Nice job! I wasn't keen on the tiles but you really subdued them with the painted cabinets and countertop.

90% improvement from the ugly brown laminate and yellow counter. I would like to see part 2 with faux stone counter. I do not like the yellow tile, but guarantee I could make a lovely kitchen using them.

The white with the wood trimming and those awful tiles. 🙁 that kitchen had so much potential but hey everyone's got their own taste.

For $60p it isn't that horrible considering what it looked like before, my kitchen looks quite similar minus the 70s tiles, all ugly laminate cabinets and counter! I wouldn't mind doing this to my kitchen to spruce it up a little

I think you could make a short false wall to go over the existing tiles. I think you can use wood and caulk. That way you don't have to worry about damaging the tiles.

I have been watching more than 20 of her vids and realised Tara is a massive fan of white colour. It would be awesome using some natural other colours. Anyway it's interesting to watch. Thanks Tara.

I've just done my kitchen remodel for less than $ 400 .I used chalk paint for cabinets , no primer , no preparation , just cleaning. One coat was enough. You can "age" them with wax. For countertops I used Gianigranite kits .They look like granite and it's just paint. You can find video "how to" on YT , it's quite easy. For this renovation I would've painted the tiles.
