Kitchen Remodeling – Before and After Summary of our DIY Remodel

My brother Neil and I remodeled our kitchen. This video shows an overview of the DIY kitchen remodel with comparison shots of before and after, and I discuss some of the changes we made. This was a complete kitchen remodel – we demolished the existing kitchen down to the slab foundation and built up from there with new floor tile, new IKEA Sektion cabinets, new granite counter-tops and bar, new island range hood, new appliances, and many other design changes and upgrades. I also documented the entire process of the remodel with time-lapse video.

I love when you can get together with family and make it a bonding experience as well as a way of remodeling your kitchen space. I am envious and looking forward to this experience and memory of my own.

Great Job Jason! I was wondering which type of cabinets you were able to install size wise. I am getting Ikea cabinets and like the glass look you have on yours. Thank you.

wow looks great! i plan on buying a house in about 2 maybe 3 years and can't decide between a fixer upper or move in ready. Did you guys have any experience before doing this or was this a first time diy? once again, looks great!!

Wow, thanks very much for posting Jason. I am an avid remodeler currently planning my new kitchen. Your series was more helpful than any article, HGTV or DIY Network show! Honestly, no one actually explains the preparation considerations, sequence of events and time line, as well as you do w/ your narrated time-lapse video. You did an amazing job and thanks to your video, I may do a similar amazing job here on the East Coast. Thanks again sincerely. You saved me a ton of research on my project!
