KITCHEN RENOVATION ON A BUDGET ● DEBT FREE FIXER UPPER ● BEFORE/AFTER HOME RENOVATION TIPS (EXPAND)

We have now been moved into our our DEBT-FREE fixer upper for about 2 1/2 weeks. In this video I share how we were able to keep renovation costs for the kitchen low and do a kitchen renovation on a budget. Our house had other factors that impacted our kitchen renovation that were not included in this total, but overall we are happy that we were able to stick to a budget for a great kitchen!

The house is not 100% complete but it has everything we need to be able to live comfortably.

I still have plenty of projects and updates to share such as an IKEA kitchen tour, A BEFORE & AFTER, DIY backsplash video, and a bunch of other ideas…so stay tuned!!!

I was looking at your Subway back-splash video and had to follow it to the finished kitchen.. I have to say, one of the nicest remodels I have seen on YT with complete explanation and breakdown on pricing. Thanks for the Ikea 20% cabinet sale tip also!! Looks Great!!

was your floor vinyl, tile or wood? It really flows with the kitchen. I just love white kitchens, you can see a mess or spill right away and can clean it so nothing builds up. It to me is flexible you can decorate with color in those things that can cheaply be changed out for a fresh new look..i.e. canisters, dishes etc.

I chose the grey and think we will love it! I have less cabinetry to purchase with no island(I have a farm table instead) and we are not changing the floor plan or original cabinet set up as it is presently. We are leaving spaces for open shelving since everything we own it seems is white or stainless and minimal also so I don't require but a few sets of cabinetry. God bless.

That looks so beautiful. We did a renovation about 6 years ago and before I had white Cabinetry, and was tired of it. In an alley kitchen. We knocked out the back wall it took me $25,000 for new dark Oak Cabinetry $2,000 for granite countertops and another $20,000 to tear out the back wall and add a den. Now I want to paint them white lol🤔🤗

How much for the countertop? Costs for different countertop options?

It would have cost me 10k plus to put in a new kitchen probably so i just reconditoned and fixed up the old 1970's units and built a shelf for the microwave. It was 150 dollars for a new countertop, the new sink was free, under 200 dollars in material, some money on paint and polyurethane, 80 dollars for new door handles. I think i will eventually be replacing the kitchen but this will keep it going for another 5 – 10 years. Plus there is a fireplace in the way and an expensive hot water situation that I'd rather not deal with unless the 40 year old hot water cylinder gives up.

The space and light in your kitchen is just stunning, love it!   My husband was project manager for our house build, and it's amazing how prices for even nails and knobs varied in different stores.  We have oak worktops for our kitchen that are lovely and warm but high maintenance, so I'm really loving your quartz countertop, its fabulous…. enjoy!!!

A stunning kitchen! Thank you for the video. I'm having a "labor only" installer over tomorrow to bid our countertop. I checked out MS Industies on your recommendation. They were great. I'm planning on being disappointed at the final cost, but we will see. Kitchen and a 42 inch bathroom vanity will be about 68 square feet all together. I'll let you know what happens!

I can't remember. Did you do a video on back splash installation tips? I'm interested on how you planned and did that part of your renovation.
You did a great job and the kitchen is beautiful and functional.
