    This is extremely unrealistic… instead of ever spending a 125k that's money you can invest in another property that you can purchase like a cabin for winter etc depending where you live.

    Anybody who spends $125,000 on a kitchen, WANTS to spend $125,000 on a kitchen. That project could have been done for $50,000, in and out. Clearly, the designer was collecting a percentage of the products' cost.
